Jessica's Travelogue

A new and talented boyband will be debuting soon! Recently, I had the opportunity to photograph the Busking event for an upcoming boy group under Beat Interactive. Beat Interactive is the agency that A.C.E is under! Usually, not a lot of K-POP bands come to Minnesota. So, I was super excited when I got the chance to take photos for this special pop up event. The new boyband’s name is NEWBEAT. It looks like they will be a 7 member boyband.

At first, the members Park Minseok and Choi Seohyun came on stage. You can tell they were a little shy and didn’t know what to do. Then after a few minutes, the other members came and joined the boys. After a short greeting, they jumped right into the busking! Boy, they were super good at dancing. Their lines were super clean and each move was so well done! Also, they were really synchronized! check out their awesome dancing yourself in the video below!

But the best thing about their performance was how they gave it their all! You can really feel their passion, hunger, and determination!

After the busking event ended, the boys went to the second floor to the Sweet Escape Store. The Sweet Escape Store is Minnesota’s first official KPOP store. They sell cool things here like photo cards, albums, stickers, etc. The Hi Touch was held here. There was a strict no recording/photography rule in this room. Fans can give a high five (hi touch) with the members and the members handed out a little gift.

I found their concept to be really well thought out. The concept was “Will you be my friend?” They handed out photo cards! And with the photo cards, there were beads and stretchy thread to make a friendship bracelet! All I could think was, ‘Man! Their marketing strategy and concept is so cool!’ On the wrapping vinyl it read ‘stop bullying’. All this made me super curious about their concept and debut music video/song! I wonder if it will be similar to BTS’s ‘No More Dream’ or NU’EST’s ‘Face’? Or will they go the cute route like Boyfriend’s ‘Boyfriend’? I super curious to see their debut song, concept, and if it will tie into the event they are having now.

Either ways, now that we all have friendship bracelets, I feel more curious and committed to being a fan of HinLOVE. I can’t wait to see the boys debut and see how they grow. They are so talented. I am sure they will achieve great things! I’m rooting for you guys!
